Mischa Macpherson Trio

Mischa Macpherson holds the title of Gaelic Singer of the Year from the publicly-voted MG BBC Alba Traditional Music Awards (Na Trads). She has been a BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award winner and was awarded the Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections.

Mischa is a native Gaelic singer and clarsach player from Lewis. Having grown up immersed in the distinctive culture, music, language and landscape of the Western Isles, she discovered an enjoyment in creating music at a very early age, and it is these influences that she now presents with clarity and tenderness, and to multi-award-winning acclaim.

Mischa is joined by Conal McDonagh on Scottish border-pipes and whistles and guitarist Innes White.

The Mischa Macpherson Trio will be performing in St German’s Cathedral on Wednesday 15 July.
