David Kilgallon is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer and arranger with a background in diverse musical styles. With the group, King Chiaullee, he took the sound of Manx music to stages all over Europe and the USA, playing fiddle and occasional keyboards, and has played fiddle with Mabon.
For Yn Chruinnaght 2015, David will be playing keyboards and occasional fiddle with Mec Lir, who will be performing in a variety of venues, including The Creek in Peel on Wednesday 15 July and Laxey Working Men’s Institute on Thursday 16 July.
David will also be demonstrating his skills as a church organist as part of the duo, Chronicles, with trumpeter Russell Gilmour. Chronicles will be performing in St German’s Cathedral on Wednesday 15 July.
On Saturday 18 July, Yn Chruinnaght is delighted to present the premiere of The Gathering, which David has been working on as a special commission for this year’s festival. David will be joined by friends from the Island and elsewhere.
